My Blog’s Name in Books

This meme was the brainchild of Fictionophile although I spotted it at Lisa’s ANZ Litlovers blog and was very taken with it. I’ve a feeling mine was much quicker to put together than Lisa’s as she has over 1,000 books in her TBR which has made me feel so much better about my own. Thank you, Lisa.

The rules are:

  1. Spell out your blog’s name
  2. Find a book from your TBR that begins with each letter. You cannot add books from another source other than your shelves.
  3. Have fun looking through your shelves finding books that meet the criteria.

No links to my own reviews, obviously, but a click on a title will either take you to a more detailed synopsis or a review on another blog if you’d like to know more. Coincidentally, Karen at Bookertalk has posted one of these today. Anyone else fancy joining in?

  1. Thanks for including a link to my review of the Yates, Susan – very kind of you. Lots of books and writers here that are new to me. I guess the only other one I’m familiar with is Elizabeth Strout. I haven’t read Anything is Possible, only Olive Kitteridge which I liked a great deal. I gather the structures are fairly similar, interlinked short stories that come together to form a picture of a community?

  2. Why are these memes so much fun? Anything to have a look through our books, I guess, right?
Thanks for linking to my review of Next Year For Sure – such a good book!

  3. Did you find it easy to do this? I was regretting letting go of some books when I attempted this exercise and found I was struggling to find a title for K…

    1. Oh, I’m so sorry. I spotted it at Lisa’s blog and should have investigated further. I’ve done a quick edit. And thank you – it’s a great idea!

  4. I have Anything is Possible tbr too. I keep seeing this meme pop up in my reader. Its a nice run one which produces a book list (oh how we love those!) So I may have to do this too. If I can find the titles on my tbr.

  5. Ah… this sounds fun and love your choices!

Also taking comfort Lisa has over 1000 on her TBR! I’ve not long finished unpacking ALL the books and after selling some, donating stacks have finally found homes on actual bookshelves for the rest … well, most of the rest – two boxes stashed in loft obviously don’t count as all read right? Mind not actually counted the TBR … sure it can’t be1000… can it? *scans room and er, rounds down* … it’s like trying to do a summer fayre ‘guess how many smarties in the jar’ …

Blog starting up again soon so will stick this in my fun meme list

  6. I’ve only read Insomniac City on your list and urge you to read it asap – it’s beautiful. This was a fun meme wasn’t it?
